SINE QUA NON AITS-R: AIS portable tester
SINE QUA NON AITS-R is a portable tester for AIS marine stations. The device checks the operation of the AIS 1 and AIS 2 channels, reception and transmission on the DSC channel 70, and the transmitter power - that is, the entire set on which the station is evaluated during the operational and annual inspection by IMO MSC.1/Circ.1252.
What's included in the audit
Channels AIS 1 and AIS 2 are the operating frequencies on which a ship constantly communicates with other ships and shore stations. DSC channel 70 is a digital electoral call that includes targeted and group calls, including emergency calls. Transmitter power - without it, data will not reach even with the correct logic of the station. The tester looks at all three points without removing the equipment from the board.
Portable format
The device is designed for the work of a service engineer on the ship: a portable hull, power supply autonomous, connection to the antenna track of the station. One machine is checked in tens of minutes, which is important when several ships need to be shut down in a shift.
