Stationary station on a working vessel
The word "stationary" here describes the installation of the apparatus, and not the mandatory location on the shore. The manufacturer designates SRS-300 for ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore communications on inland waterways. On the ship, it occupies a permanent place from which it is convenient to conduct a normal working exchange. It is important for the owner that the device, microphone and indication was convenient to access during the working period.
This affects the composition of the purchase. the radio in the box and the prepared place in the cabin are different in terms of delivery. If the antenna, power supply and part of the mount already exist, they can be included in the discussion of the stored installation. But the suitability of each element must be understood before the final composition is calculated. Missing parts will not appear automatically from the word "fixed" in the product name.
River range - part of model selection
On the current page of the manufacturer, the bands 300.0125-300.5125 and 336.0125-336.5125 MHz with a channel spacing of 25 kHz are indicated. The quotation requires a suitable river communication system. The general designation "VHF" is not sufficient to make the station compatible with any installed equipment or any maritime radio network.
In the request, name the current radio and the purpose of the post. If necessary, attach the previous agreed specification. Applicable channels and configurations are determined by the responsible professionals for the actual work. The article helps to choose the apparatus and composition of equipment; it does not specify the channel plan and does not replace the radio exchange procedure adopted on the ship.
The hand microphone is part of the management.
The manufacturer indicates switching channels and power to the hand microphone. This is useful to consider together with the location of the main body: the employee should be clear what action was performed and what the indicator shows. When discussing the installation site, consider microphone access and screen readability, not just the size of the free shelf.
The SSS-300 has brightness control, light indication of the selected channel and transmission mode. The external speaker is offered by the manufacturer as an option. Whether it is needed in a particular cabin depends on the location of the person and the conditions of hearing. The availability of a suitable audio device should be agreed explicitly if without it the expected result of the post is not achieved.
Secure the body and maintain access
Installation options include bracket installation and flush placement. Before ordering, it is useful to show the general appearance of the intended place and the existing fastening. It is important to leave convenient access to the control and provide the path of cables. The choice of the option is made according to the documentation of the actual configuration, without transferring the finished solution from another vessel by one photo.
On the manufacturer's page, the protection of the body is separately indicated IP44 front panel IP55. These indicators cannot be combined into a promise of equal protection for all parts of the plant. Specific conditions of accommodation, connections and maintenance are considered in the project. The station and the hand microphone are visible in the catalogue photo; the power supply, antenna and the entire assembly line are not confirmed by the picture.
Power supply and antenna complete the post
For the model, the nominal value of 12V DC with a tolerance of -10 / + 20% is indicated. If another network is available on the ship, the appropriate power supply becomes a separate part of the kit. Any power supply unit located in a power supply unit cannot be considered a ready-made solution. For quotation you need its designation, parameters and information about the remaining connected loads.
In the antenna part, it is also important to maintain the correspondence of the selected station and the installation site. Specify the existing river antenna, cable track and required lengths. Additional connections, attachments and operations should be included in the agreed list. It is impossible to promise the quality of all communication only by the power of the device or the length of the antenna: the result is affected by the full installation and operating conditions.
Extensions and full cost
The current page of the manufacturer provides for the possibility of a second post via a Bluetooth adapter. This expansion requires separate harmonization of composition and compatibility. It cannot be considered included in any SRS-300 delivery or inferred from a conventional wired hand microphone. If such access is needed, describe the user's location and the required work with a separate query line.
