VLH-3000: a spoken command or an automatic sound sequence?
For one task, the operator needs to address the crew in his own words, for another - to reproduce the sound sequence provided by the device. Buying a more powerful horn does not make these tasks the same. In the Standard Horizon VLH-3000, it is important to choose not only the outer sound area, but also the way the signal is formed.
Manual speech depends on the operator's message
When a voice ad is made, the operator uses a microphone with PTT. The central unit amplifies speech for the selected speaker area. This scenario is suitable when the text changes: name the place of work, contact the group or transfer a specific command.
In the application, it is useful to write to whom and where the ads are intended. One outer zone and two separate zones require different agreed composition. The capabilities of the block do not mean that each sold set automatically includes all plug-in horns and posts.
The sequence forms a central block.
In the VLH-3000 manual, Automatic Signaling is described separately from speech. The operator selects the intended mode and the output zone, and the device forms the corresponding sequence. Repeated modes do not require each individual sound to be manually played with a microphone.
However, all alarm buttons cannot be considered the same timer. The manual distinguishes between repeat sequences and HORN/SIREN variants that work with PTT. Therefore, in the procurement task, you need to name the required function. The general wish “let the signal” is not enough to compare two quotations.
Exit and mode - two different lines
The VLH-3000 panel separates the selection of FWD/AFT/BOTH and the signaling organs. The first is responsible for the selected external area, the second for the type of work. Having two exit directions does not mean delivering two horns; labeling multiple audio sequences is also not the number of loudspeakers.
When replacing the old SMS, write down which periphery is preserved and what the previous block lacked: manual announcement, the desired sequence or a separate zone. This helps to consider the replacement of the central unit and the change of external equipment as different parts of the project.
Composition and price of the kit

Exact models of external devices, microphone, mounting, status and documents are listed in quotation. The second horn and additional negotiating posts are not added by the number of buttons of the device.
Installation, cable lines, power supply and delivery are agreed on the terms of the facility. The presence of a function in the manual does not in itself confirm that any configuration assembled is suitable for a particular vessel. The required composition and documents must be reported before ordering.
To buy a VLH-3000 with delivery to St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Astrakhan, Aktau or another city in Russia and Kazakhstan, specify the number of kits and the required features.
