Buy PSL for marine power supply: can you save the old batteries

Replacing the power supply unit does not necessarily mean replacing the entire battery system. But the order for "PSL and Leave Our Batteries" needs to be revealed: which consumers will remain on reserve, how the battery is charged and how long the system should last. Then the quotation will be clear scope of supply, and the stored equipment will be included in the task for verification.

Separate three tasks in one order

The first task is the power supply of devices with a working main network. The second is their battery life. The third is to restore the charge after using the reserve. Therefore, it is useful to send a small circuit: the main source, PSL, battery group, charger and connected devices. In the diagram, indicate what is saved, what is replaced and what is required to offer. If there is no documentation of the old node, start with photos of markings and a list of equipment: undefined items can be separately clarified before agreeing on the order.

What to report on the stored battery

One capacity from the sticker is not enough to promise time. The model and type of batteries, the composition of the group, the date of installation, information about the last test and operating conditions are needed. The new unit will have to work with the actual system, rather than the denomination of the new battery from the catalog.

Make a statement of consumers by regime

List devices with models and numbers. For each, specify the consumption data that is in its documentation: operating mode, launch, transmission or other short-term mode. Separately note combinations that should work simultaneously. If the value is unknown, write it down; it is better to request it than to take the average number beyond the load limit.

For example, an order may relate only to a communication post or to several devices of a common node. These are different tasks, even if the outside of the closet looks the same. Identify which customers remain turned on when the main network disappears and which are allowed to be turned off according to the agreed project. The number of connectors does not replace the load statement.

What to Write About Work Time

Specify the expected duration and operating scenario: which devices are included, in what modes and under what conditions. For a marine project, the time required is determined according to the applicable assignment and documentation; the article does not establish a uniform standard for all ships.

Agree on how the result will be confirmed: the composition of the system being tested, the actual batteries, the load, the conditions of the inspection and the document with the result. The inclusion of devices from the battery shows only a separate moment of operation. It does not confirm the entire required period and does not prove that every connected device has not restarted.

Buy a block together with a clear amount of work

In the KP, it is worth separately seeing the product, accessories and work. For example: delivery of a specific configuration PSL; stored batteries and charger; necessary accessories after checking the circuit; agreed checks of the node. So it is easier to compare two quotations in which the price of the block is the same, and the amount of preparation varies.

Neither the PSL nor the adjacent card of the other block gives grounds to automatically assemble a compatible kit. HERCULES-10 and ALFA-2 can be considered for individual design options after the requirements have been verified. If you want to replace the PSL, mark this first item, and ask for alternatives to make separately.
