Buy PSL 10A: How to Read PSL and PSX 40A Passport

In the purchase of power supply unit, it is easy to get the right document and read the characteristics of another product. In the general technical description of PSL and PSX, both models are in the same table. To order a PSL, it is important to agree on its configuration, load limit and the documents of the proposed product: the general cover does not turn the characteristics of the neighboring column into the characteristics of your block.

Start with the designation in the specification

First, write out the full designation of the required product. Then compare it with the quotation, marking and the corresponding section of the document. If the quotation says only “power supply unit 24V”, ask for a specific model and configuration before comparing prices.

In the order can be important not only the total current. You need to understand which consumers are eating at the same time, which regimens should be maintained and what is expected when the protection is triggered. These requirements are conveniently reported as a separate load statement. The number of externally similar inputs on the body does not answer these questions.

Two columns, two different products

In the general description of 2021, pages 18-19 indicate the following values for the modifications indicated there:

What does the total load limit mean?

Several consumers may have a separate connection, but the common source remains the same. When selecting, consider their joint work. In the statement, specify the model, quantity and available information about the modes of each device; note which combinations are required. Startup, transmission and other time modes are separated from normal consumption.

If the actual system differs from the project, attach both lists: what is specified in the documents and what is installed now. This helps to detect the added device, which was not taken into account in the previous order. Buying from a photo of an old block does not replace such a comparison.

Consistent with expected behavior in defense

It is important for the buyer which appliances will remain on in case of a problem in one branch. Write down the requirement in simple words: is it permissible to disable the common node, whether separate chains are needed and how the result of the check will be recorded. The contractor will compare these requirements with the capabilities of a particular product and project.

Don’t transfer PSX protection rules to PSL just because of the neighborhood in your passport. Nor does the opposite follow: the name of a more powerful model alone does not prove that it is suitable for replacement. Placement, power supply, connections and terms of use are checked separately. Installation and inspections are carried out according to agreed documentation; the article does not contain instructions for interfering with the power unit.

To replace, send the marking of the current block and ask to specify the stored elements of the system separately. If a different model is offered, the grounds for such a choice and an updated order composition are needed. The coincidence of the nominal voltage is only one point of comparison.

The main product of this article is PSL. HERCULES-10 and ALFA-2 are shown as other power supply positions that can be discussed on a stand-alone basis. They are not automatically included in the PSL and are not claimed to be a direct replacement for the PSX.

In the request for the purchase of PSL for St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Novosibirsk or Vladivostok, specify the city of receipt and address.
