NVR-3000: two control positions
Bridge radio communication may be needed from several operating positions: at the main console, beside a viewing window or on a bridge wing. Repeatedly returning to a single handset creates a clear purchasing requirement: access to one radio installation where the operator is working. For the NSR NVR-3000, distinguish an additional handset, a wing kit and a remote station. These are different equipment arrangements, not a second independent radio installation.

Start with people's attitudes.
Consider an example installation: the main unit is inside the bridge, while a second position is needed at another lookout point. First define the operator’s needs: voice communication alone, a view of the radio’s status, or particular controls. This list helps select equipment for the task while keeping the main unit in a suitable location.
At the same time, they specify who remains at the main console. If two points are needed at different times, it’s one working scenario. If employees have to negotiate at the same time, a different outcome is required. A second control of a single node does not in itself mean two independent radio lines. The order of collaboration and available functions must be confirmed for the selected equipment.
Describe the usual exchange of simple words: where the employee speaks, who receives the message and where the response is needed. It is not necessary to include passwords, service codes or crew instructions in the initial letter. For quotation, it is enough to assign places and the required result of work.
Three different equipment options
In the current brochure NSR NVR-3000 rev13 Among the options listed additional NHS-200, Dual Handset Kit, Wing Handset Kit and outlet NVR-3000R. The manufacturer thus separates a separate microtelephone and sets for a specific placement. The presence of a name in the general list does not yet confirm that any previously installed instance accepts each new affiliation.
For a second indoor position, agree the handset and its connection kit. For a bridge-wing position, identify the applicable Wing Handset Kit and installation conditions. If a separate panel and controls are required, consider the NVR-3000R against the documentation for the selected version. The quotation should specify controls, supplied cables and limitations; a photograph of the main unit alone does not establish these.
Define the selection through the actions the operator needs to perform. “We need another handset” may adequately describe a simple second position, but does not address monitoring the radio’s status away from its display. Conversely, do not automatically include a complete remote station when only agreed voice access at a nearby position is required.
The wing requires its own configuration.
In the same brochure, the protection of the main transceiver and the standard microtelephone is listed as IP22. Therefore, the regular NHS-200 cannot be considered by default a ready-made device for the open wing of the bridge. For the proposed wing solution, the exact configuration and permissible operating conditions are separately confirmed.
In the request, indicate whether the second place is inside the closed cabin, under shelter or outdoors. A description of the working position, the distance to the main unit and the proposed route are useful. Electrical connections, mounting and line lengths are determined by the applicable manual and design. The article helps to choose a set, not replace the installation documentation.
Location also affects convenience: the employee must understand whether the call is heard at his work point and where the necessary control is located. External speaker and other accessories are considered for the real task, without automatically adding all options from the brochure.
What remains common
NHS-201/NHS-202: Priority in factory scheme
In the arrangement shown on NSR drawing NVR3000-ID-004, NHS-201 is identified as the first handset station and NHS-202 as the second. Taking the first handset off-hook disables the second station. Even if the second handset was taken off-hook first, taking the first handset off-hook still disables the second station. This describes the illustrated factory arrangement; check the actual installed package and version before replacement or expansion.

Distinguish convenient placement from an independent installation. An additional handset does not automatically provide a backup transmitter, independent power supply or separate antenna system. Specify a genuinely independent second installation as a separate requirement. The discussion then starts with two complete radio stations, rather than adding a control device to one.
Before ordering, agree on an example of a normal exchange from each place. What actions are available to the employee, what does he see and hear, how does the other participant understand the state of the common node? Verification of these issues relates to the agreed work. The possibility of a particular action should be supported by documentation and the selected configuration.
One set with an understandable total price
River Marine Pro’s NVR-3000 product page lists a package with one NHS-200 handset and two NVA100 antennas at the displayed price. This does not automatically include an extra handset, wing kit or NVR-3000R. For two operating positions, request a total price for the agreed arrangement, identifying retained components and new accessories.
If the station is already installed, send its exact designation, configuration and available version information. For a new installation, specify both workplaces, power supply conditions and required functions. configuration, condition, availability, completeness of documents and term will confirm the quotation. Ship-specific suitability and project requirements are agreed separately; a general brochure does not replace the documents of equipment supplied.
Delivery in Russia and Kazakhstan can be agreed in Murmansk, Astrakhan, St. Petersburg, Aktau or another city. Specify the address, number of sets and date of readiness. So the calculation will refer to two convenient workplaces with confirmed composition, and not to the indefinite purchase of “another pipe”.
